The former striker has questioned whether Martin O'Neill can find room for both centre-forwards Kasper Hogh and Camilo Duran in his current system, despite wanting to see the partnership given an opportunity.

Hogh endured another frustrating evening in the 3-2 Europa League win over Besiktas, while Duran came off the bench and struck twice to complete the comeback.

Sutton feels Hogh has suffered from a lack of service and believes the Dane could benefit from operating alongside Duran.

Writing in his Daily Record column, Sutton said: "He’s struggling for decent service and I’d still like to see O’Neill finding a way to get him and Duran on the pitch at the same time.

"We know why it can’t happen though, Celtic don’t have the legs in midfield to cope so it might be something that has to wait until that is addressed in the January transfer window."

Sutton believes there can be little doubt over who should lead the line for Celtic.

He added: "In the meantime, Duran simply has to start. You could say the same about Osmand."
