According to a report by BBC Sport on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, the UEFA Champions League standings have changed following an exciting night of league-phase action, with Paris Saint Germain, Barcelona and Manchester United among the teams recording important victories.
Nine matches were played on Tuesday, with Paris Saint-Germain producing the biggest result after securing a convincing 6-0 away victory over Villarreal. The win strengthened their position at the top of the table, taking them to 12 points from four matches. PSG have maintained their perfect record, winning all four games and scoring 20 goals in the competition.
Barcelona also enjoyed an impressive night after defeating Aston Villa 3-0 at home. The result took the Spanish giants to nine points from four matches, with a goal difference of plus eight, moving them into second place. Aston Villa suffered their first defeat of the league phase but remain on nine points.
Manchester United also secured a valuable victory, beating Roma 3-2. The Premier League side moved to six points from four matches, improving their goal difference to zero. The result was an important response after United lost two of their opening three fixtures.
Bayern Munich strengthened their chances of finishing in the top eight with a 2-0 away win over Atletico Madrid. The German champions moved to eight points, while Atletico remained on four points after suffering their first defeat of the campaign.
Inter Milan also claimed three points after defeating Feyenoord 3-0 in the Netherlands. Sporting CP moved to nine points following a narrow 1-0 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk.
Elsewhere, Galatasaray defeated Stuttgart 2-0, LASK recorded a 4-0 victory over Slovan Bratislava, while Bodo/Glimt and Lille played out a goalless draw.
Following Tuesday's matches, PSG lead the standings with 12 points. Barcelona, Aston Villa, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Sporting CP and Real Betis are all on nine points. Bayern Munich occupy eighth position with eight points, while Arsenal have seven points ahead of their fourth league phase match against Slavia Prague on Wednesday.
Under the new Champions League format, the eight highest-ranked teams qualify automatically for the round of 16. Teams finishing between ninth and 24th place must compete in the knockout play-offs for a place in the next round.
Wednesday's fixtures, including Arsenal's trip to Slavia Prague and Liverpool's meeting with Fenerbahce, could bring further changes to the standings.
