According to a report by Football London on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Arsenal are expected to make several changes to their starting line-up for their UEFA Champions League clash against Slavia Praha, with Max Dowman and Martin Odegaard among the players tipped to start.
The Gunners could make as many as seven changes as Mikel Arteta looks to rotate his squad while maintaining their impressive form in European competition.
Arsenal travel to Czechia after securing an important 1-0 Premier League victory over Liverpool at Anfield. Kai Havertz scored the only goal of the match, helping the reigning champions return to the top of the league table.
The victory also served as a response to their disappointing Carabao Cup exit against Fleetwood Town, although Arteta will want his players to remain focused as they compete on multiple fronts.
Arsenal have not suffered a defeat in the Champions League league phase since their 1-0 loss to Inter Milan in November 2024.
Football London reporters Tom Canton and Ryan Taylor have provided separate predictions for Arsenal's starting XI, with both anticipating significant changes to the team.
Canton believes Arteta should be careful not to make too many changes after the Gunners struggled when he heavily rotated the squad against Fleetwood.
He expects David Raya, Ben White, Ezri Konsa, Cristhian Mosquera and Piero Hincapie to form the defensive line, while Martin Odegaard is tipped to feature in midfield and provide creativity.
His predicted line-up is Raya; White, Konsa, Mosquera, Hincapie; Martin Zubimendi, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Odegaard; Max Dowman, Viktor Gyokeres and Christos Tzolis.
Canton also believes Dowman deserves the opportunity to make history by becoming Arsenal's youngest-ever player to start a Champions League match.
The youngster remains eligible for European selection despite his domestic suspension following the red card he received against Fleetwood.
Taylor, however, expects Arteta to make more changes after the demanding Premier League encounter against Liverpool.
He believes Gabriel Magalhaes could keep his place in central defence, although the Brazilian may be taken off at half-time.
Taylor also wants Bruno Guimaraes to improve his performances after being substituted around the 60th minute in each of his last three Premier League starts.
He expects Lewis-Skelly to start following his impressive appearance at Anfield, while Eberechi Eze and Dowman could provide attacking options from the wings.
His predicted starting XI is Raya; White, Mosquera, Gabriel, Hincapie; Guimaraes, Lewis-Skelly; Dowman, Merino, Eze; Gyokeres.
Gyokeres is also expected to have another opportunity to impress, having struggled to produce consistent performances in several of his previous starts this season.
