Manchester United are reportedly considering a €103 million bid for Chelsea winger Estevao, but the Stamford Bridge club are determined to retain the highly rated Brazilian and are already planning to secure his long-term future.
The 19-year-old has attracted interest from several European sides since Chelsea won the race for his signature. Despite his impressive performances during the 2025/26 season, his reduced involvement under new manager Xabi Alonso has prompted speculation about his future.
According to TEAMtalk, United could offer approximately £86 million, equivalent to €103 million, to persuade Chelsea to sell. However, Spanish publication AS reports that the Blues have no intention of allowing the youngster to leave in January and instead want him to sign a new contract.
Estevao recently returned to Chelsea’s starting lineup in their 2-0 victory over United, producing an encouraging display despite having two efforts ruled out for offside. His performance reinforced his potential and importance to the London club.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has also discussed the winger’s situation, describing him as an exceptional prospect. Romano recalled the excitement surrounding Estevao’s arrival in 2025, when many within football expected him to become a major talent.
He noted that the Brazilian had performed impressively for Chelsea and his national team before receiving fewer opportunities under Alonso.
Following the United victory, Alonso acknowledged that Estevao might be frustrated by his limited playing time. However, he explained that the youngster had been managing an injury and needed sufficient time to recover.
The Chelsea manager indicated that the winger would receive more opportunities once fully fit, adding: “His time, his moments will come soon.”
Chelsea’s stance suggests they view Estevao as a key part of their future plans, making a January departure unlikely despite United’s reported interest.
