Three Barcelona Academy Talents Continue First-Team Training Ahead of Alaves Clash

According to a report by Barca Universal on Friday, October 30, 2026, Barcelona have included three academy prospects in first-team training ahead of Saturday’s La Liga clash against Alaves as manager Hansi Flick deals with several injury concerns.

Guillem Victor, Alex Campos and Ebrima Tunkara all participated in Friday’s final training session at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, giving Flick additional options as he prepares his squad for the encounter.

The youngsters have been brought into the senior setup at a difficult time for Barcelona, particularly in defence. Jules Kounde has been ruled out after failing to return to group training, while Eric Garcia, Andreas Christensen and Xavi Espart are also unavailable.

With several defensive players missing, Flick has turned to Barcelona Atletic for possible replacements. Nineteen-year-old right-back Guillem Victor and 18-year-old centre-back Alex Campos trained alongside the first-team squad and could be included in the matchday team, although no final decision has been made.

Campos is already familiar with the senior team environment, having been named in the squad for recent fixtures against Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid. Friday’s training session gave both youngsters another opportunity to impress Flick, but their involvement against Alaves is not guaranteed.

Meanwhile, 16-year-old Ebrima Tunkara has continued to work with the first team under the German manager. The midfielder can play in either central or attacking midfield and has been involved in senior training over the past week.

His presence could be particularly important because Dani Olmo is unavailable. Tunkara impressed Flick during pre-season and continues to develop under the manager’s supervision.

Roony Bardghji is also sidelined, further limiting Barcelona’s options as they seek to respond to their 2-1 defeat against Real Madrid.

There was also a brief injury scare during Friday’s session when Raphinha appeared uncomfortable after accidentally colliding with Fermin Lopez. However, the Brazilian winger gave a thumbs-up shortly afterwards and returned to training at full intensity.

Flick will be hoping to avoid further injury setbacks before Saturday’s kick-off as he works to put together a competitive squad for the meeting with Alaves.
