The two Chelsea players branded ‘phenomenal’ by Neymar after beating Man United

Brazilian football star Neymar has praised Chelsea teammates Morgan Rogers and Estevao Willian after their impressive performances in the Blues' 2-0 victory over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

According to a report by The Chelsea Chronicle on Sunday, November 1, 2026, Neymar described the two players as phenomenal after they shared a celebration during Saturday's Premier League encounter. The former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain forward showed his appreciation by reposting a photograph of the pair on social media.

Chelsea entered the match under pressure following consecutive defeats against Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool. However, Xabi Alonso's side responded positively, securing an important victory against United to return to winning ways.

The hosts initially faced a difficult challenge as Manchester United started brightly and created problems for their defence. Nevertheless, Chelsea eventually broke the deadlock shortly after half-time through an outstanding individual effort from Rogers.

The £117 million summer arrival received a pass from Romeo Lavia before driving towards United's goal. He showed excellent close control and confidence as he moved past several defenders before lifting the ball over goalkeeper Senne Lammens to give Chelsea the advantage.

Estevao also attracted attention with his performance, having been handed his first Premier League start of the season. The 19-year-old had received limited opportunities in previous matches, including Chelsea's defeat to Liverpool, but made a strong impression when given the chance against United.

The Brazilian youngster came close to finding the net on two occasions, although both efforts were disallowed for offside. His second ruled-out goal was particularly close, further highlighting his attacking threat throughout the encounter.

Following the final whistle, Estevao posted a photograph of himself celebrating alongside Rogers on Instagram and tagged Neymar. The Brazilian superstar subsequently shared the image again, accompanying it with a message describing both Chelsea players as phenomenal.

Their celebration also carried a connection to Neymar's influence. Estevao performed the Careta celebration, a gesture regularly associated with Neymar during his time at Paris Saint-Germain, before Rogers joined him in the moment. The younger Brazilian has previously spoken about his admiration for Neymar, identifying him as his childhood football idol.

Meanwhile, Cole Palmer completed Chelsea's victory by converting a penalty after Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez was sent off. The dismissal left the visitors with ten players and made their attempt to recover from the deficit more difficult.

The result provided Alonso with a much-needed response after the recent defeats and strengthened Chelsea's position in the Premier League standings. At the time of the report, the victory had moved the Blues into the top four, ahead of Liverpool.

Neymar's public recognition also added to the attention surrounding Rogers and Estevao, whose contributions helped Chelsea secure an important result.
