Fantastic Estevao and Josh Acheampong contract update despite interest from top clubs

Chelsea are reportedly optimistic about securing new contracts for Estevão Willian and Josh Acheampong despite growing interest in the two youngsters from several leading European clubs.

According to The Chelsea Chronicle on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, the London club have already initiated discussions with representatives of both players as they seek to extend their stays at Stamford Bridge.

The development follows encouraging performances from the pair during Chelsea’s 2-0 Premier League victory over Manchester United last weekend. Both youngsters played important roles in the result, further strengthening their positions within manager Xabi Alonso’s plans.

Estevão impressed with his attacking contributions, displaying the qualities that have made him one of Chelsea’s most exciting young prospects. Acheampong also delivered a dependable performance in defence, demonstrating his growing ability to contribute at senior level.

Their progress has attracted attention from some of Europe’s leading clubs, increasing the importance of Chelsea’s efforts to secure their long-term futures. Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed that interest in the pair extends across the continent, with all of Europe’s major clubs reportedly monitoring their development.

Bayern Munich are among the sides believed to be interested. The German champions have reportedly made enquiries about Estevão and have previously shown an interest in Acheampong.

Such attention could create competition for Chelsea as they attempt to keep two highly regarded members of their squad. Both players are continuing to establish themselves in the first team, making their long-term futures an important consideration for the club.

Nevertheless, the latest information suggests Chelsea are not overly concerned about losing either youngster. Sources speaking to Si Phillips Talks Chelsea reportedly believe both players are likely to commit their futures to the Premier League side, although negotiations have not yet reached a confirmed agreement.

The initial contact with their representatives indicates that Chelsea are taking steps to address the situation before outside interest becomes more difficult to manage. However, the discussions remain at an early stage, and there is no guarantee that contract extensions will be finalised immediately.

For Alonso, retaining both players would provide continuity as he continues shaping the squad and developing young talent. Estevão’s attacking qualities offer an important option going forward, while Acheampong’s defensive versatility could become increasingly valuable as he gains more experience.

Chelsea have invested considerable attention in developing young players, and losing either prospect would represent an unwanted setback. Their recent performances against Manchester United have reinforced the belief that they can become significant contributors to the club’s future.

The coming months could therefore prove important in determining whether Chelsea can translate their confidence into completed agreements. For now, the club remain hopeful that Estevão and Acheampong will continue their development at Stamford Bridge rather than consider offers from elsewhere.
