According to a report by the London Evening Standard on Monday, November 2, 2026, Manchester United have been handed another defensive concern ahead of Tuesday's Champions League clash with Roma after Leny Yoro was spotted wearing protective strapping around his knee during training.
Michael Carrick's side will host the Italian visitors as they look to end their nine-match winless run. Pressure has continued to build following three consecutive defeats against Como, Bournemouth and Chelsea.
United currently occupy 20th position in the European competition standings, having recorded one victory and suffered defeats in their previous two matches against Atletico Madrid and Como.
However, Patrick Dorgu's return to training has provided some encouragement for Carrick ahead of the encounter.
The Danish defender had been out of action since September after sustaining a hamstring injury while on international duty. His return gives the manager another option, particularly with United lacking experienced alternatives at left-back.
Nevertheless, Yoro's appearance at training with protective strapping around his knee has raised concerns about his availability for the important European fixture. Despite the covering, the French defender appeared comfortable while taking part in several training exercises.
Yoro has recently been deployed at right-back, allowing Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui to operate on the left side of defence. He also played in that position against Chelsea, completing the full 90 minutes despite United's disappointing defeat.
Carrick could consider moving Yoro back into central defence as he makes adjustments to his defensive lineup.
Lisandro Martinez is also available again after completing his suspension, although another suspension will make him unavailable for United's upcoming meeting with Aston Villa.
