After suffering a frustrating defeat to Arsenal at the weekend, Liverpool looks to the Champions League for a return to form, with a trip to Fenerbahce on the cards.
The Reds currently have a 100 percent record in the European competition, having beaten the likes of Atletico Madrid, Villarreal, and LASK so far, as the halfway stage of the league phase closes in. Fenerbahce will be looking to cause some problems for Liverpool, with former star Dirk Kuyt currently in interim charge of the Turkish outfit. The team has already faced English opposition this season, losing 6-0 to Aston Villa earlier on in the campaign.
Andoni Iraola has already been boosted by the return of Dominik Szoboszlai and Victor Munoz from injury, as he prepares his players for another quick turnaround. However, there will still be some key absences from the Champions League tie, so with that said, here's a look at the latest Liverpool injury news and possible return dates ahead of the Fenerbahce match.
Jeremie Frimpong will be missing until after the international break this month, after the defender picked up a hamstring issue just minutes into his appearance against Brentford.
"Jeremy is obviously a new muscle injury, and it happened, I think, in the second or third minute that he was playing," Iraola said shortly after the injury. "Difficult to predict. We will have to wait until he recovers, but it's going to be difficult, I think, before the break. We will try."
Possible return date: Manchester United (H) - Nov. 22.
Liverpool has been without Giovanni Leoni for over a year now, with the defender picking up a serious knee injury on his debut that has since kept him out of action.
While there was some hope that the Italian would be available again last month, a setback in his recovery has meant that he is still building himself back up to full fitness. There is an expectation that Leoni will be back in action over the November international break, but it remains to be seen whether he will be back in time to face off with Manchester United after the two-week break.
Possible return date: Manchester United (H) - Nov. 22.
Conor Bradley has also been out for an extended period of time through a knee injury, with the right-back picking up the problem against Arsenal at the start of the calendar year.
The Northern Ireland international is now stepping up his recovery, and there is some hope that he could be available for Liverpool again at the end of the month, should the initial timeline for his return continue in the coming weeks.
Possible return date: Late November 2026.
The player who is set to return at the latest point is Hugo Ekitike, after the Liverpool striker picked up an Achilles injury towards the back end of last season.
There is some hope that the forward will be back before the turn of the New Year, having already been registered for the Champions League squad, with two final fixtures in the league phase setup for January.
Possible return date: December 2026.
