Ghana head coach Joe Nana Adarkwa has named the same starting line-up for the Black Maidens’ decisive FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Group B match against Canada.
The unchanged team is the one that drew 3-3 with Brazil in Ghana’s second group game, with the Black Maidens needing victory to keep their hopes of remaining in the competition alive.
Belinda Aku Akliema retains her place in goal. She is shielded by a back four of Rafia Osman, Hajara Adam, Latifa Musah and Seraphina Esse Essenam.
Salamatu Wahab starts in midfield alongside Jessica Appiah, who was named Player of the Match after the draw with Brazil.
Gloria Ameaa and Sekinatu Amadu will provide the width, while Cynthia Obinsrewuo is set to lead the attack with Getrude Juliana.
The Black Maidens face Canada on Saturday, October 24, at 3:00pm GMT at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco. A win is required if Ghana are to keep their qualification hopes alive.
