Ghana international winger Ernest Nuamah continued his impressive goalscoring form this season after finding the back of the net in Olympique Lyon's 2-0 victory over Angers SCO in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday.

The 22-year-old attacker opened the scoring for Lyon at the Groupama Stadium, taking his league tally to four goals in just seven appearances this season.

Nuamah, who has been enjoying a productive campaign, has now registered six goals across all competitions, underlining his growing influence in Lyon's attacking setup.

The Ghanaian winger broke the deadlock in the 38th minute after connecting with a well-timed pass from experienced midfielder Corentin Tolisso to put the hosts ahead.

His goal provided Lyon with a deserved advantage heading into the break as they looked to maintain control of the encounter against an Angers side struggling to contain their attacking threat.

Lyon continued to push for a second goal after the restart, with Nuamah and his teammates looking to extend their advantage and put the result beyond doubt.

Tolisso eventually sealed the victory for the home side four minutes from full-time, finding the net to make it 2-0 and ensure Lyon collected all three points.

Nuamah's latest contribution further highlights his excellent form in front of goal, with the Ghanaian becoming an increasingly important attacking option for the French outfit.

Having already reached six goals across all competitions, the former FC Nordsjaelland winger will be eager to maintain his momentum as the season progresses.

His performances will also be encouraging for Ghana as the Black Stars continue to monitor the form of their key players ahead of upcoming international assignments.
