Blanquivermells have said the 28-year-old towering guardsman has suffered from an intestinal infection as he is set to miss out on their upcoming Cup fixture against the lowly division outfit tomorrow

La Liga 2 side Girona have confirmed that Ghana international defender Abdul Mumin is currently battling with viral gastroenteritis and would play no part in their away Copa del Rey game against CD Cuarte on Tuesday.

The former FC Nordsjælland centre-back, who joined up with the relegated La Liga side in the summer of 2026 on a free transfer, endured a devastating anterior cruciate ligament injury during his time with Rayo Vallecano in the Spanish top-flight, having spent 13 months on the sideline prior to the start of the 2026-27 campaign.

The Estadi Montilivi campaigners have said of Abdul Mumin and his team-mates Yáser Asprilla health setbacks via their social media platforms: ''Mumin is down for a viral gastroenteritis process and Asprilla for a contusion on her right ankle.''
