You have to go back to April 5, 2023, for Real Madrid’s last win at Camp Nou, a 4-0 thrashing in the Copa del Rey semifinal second leg. Xavi’s side went down to goals from Vinícius Jr. and a Karim Benzema hat trick, crashing out of the cup 4-1 on aggregate.

But that isn’t actually the last time Real Madrid won in Barcelona against Barça. While renovation work at Camp Nou was ongoing, Barcelona played its home games at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. Real Madrid beat Barcelona 2-1 there on October 28, 2023, in LaLiga.

When was Real Madrid’s last LaLiga win at Camp Nou?

The last time Madrid won a LaLiga game at Camp Nou was October 24, 2021, when goals from David Alaba and Lucas Vázquez secured a 2-1 victory.

What happened the last time Real Madrid played at Camp Nou?

The last time the teams met at Camp Nou was May 10 this year, when Barcelona ran out 2-0 winners.

Real Madrid’s LaLiga drought

Madrid have endured a much longer wait for a LaLiga victory at Camp Nou in the past. After a 2-1 win on October 22, 1983, they went 20 years without winning a league game there, a run that included 15 Barcelona victories and five draws. That drought finally ended on December 6, 2003, when goals from Roberto Carlos and Ronaldo gave Real Madrid a 2-1 victory. Madrid did, however, win at Camp Nou in other competitions during those two decades, including a famous 2-0 Champions League semifinal victory in 2002.

Clásico goals

Recent Clásicos have also produced a remarkable all-or-nothing streak. None of the last 21 meetings between Barcelona and Real Madrid has ended in a draw, with the last stalemate a 0-0 at Camp Nou on December 18, 2019. Since then, Madrid have the narrow overall edge, with 11 wins to Barcelona’s 10, and have won eight of the 13 LaLiga Clásicos. Barça, however, have dominated more recently, winning six of the last seven meetings in all competitions.
