MATCH REPORT: Ghana U-15 Boys beat Korea Republic to book World Cup round of 16 spot

Ghana U-15 boys national team have booked their place in the round of 16 of the ongoing FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival in Azerbaijan after securing a 2-1 victory over Korea Republic earlier this morning.

The Black Comets showed resilience to overcome a disciplined Korean team in their Round of 32 encounter, keeping their impressive run in the tournament intact.

Abdul Aziz Issah continued his scoring streak by finding the net once again for Ghana, while an own goal by the Korean defence proved decisive in securing the win.

The result follows Ghana’s perfect run in Group W, where they won all five matches to finish top of the standings and progress to the knockout stage.

Ghana have now recorded six consecutive victories at the tournament and scored 29 goals in the process.

They will now wait to discover their round of 16 opponents as they look to extend their winning run and continue their campaign in Azerbaijan.
