Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi credited Mathys Tel and Mohammed Kudus with making the decisive impact in Saturday’s 2-0 Premier League victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Spurs took control of the London derby through Penders’ own goal, with Tel securing the result with a late finish.
In his post-match comments, De Zerbi said the attacking work of the two wide players had settled the contest for the visitors.
“Mathys Tel played a very good game,” De Zerbi said. “I believe the two wingers won the match.”
He added: “Tel and Kudus made the difference.”
The win leaves Tottenham in 12th place in the Premier League standings, having collected nine points from their opening eight matches.
Spurs are due to face Crystal Palace in their next Premier League game later this month.
