Tottenham Hotpsur manager Roberto De Zerbi has eulogized Ghana international Mohammed Kudus following the sides’ crucial away win over Chelsea in the English Premier League.
The Black Stars attacker started and played for 89 minutes as Tottenham cruised to a 2-0 victory over the Blues at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea goalkeeper Mike Penders turned a Mateus Fernandes corner into his own net, before Mathys Tel sealed the points with a superb solo goal late on, marking their first victory of the Premier League campaign.
Speaking after match, the Italian tactician singled out wingers Kudus and Mathys Tel for their outstanding display, insisting the duo made the difference in the high-stakes clash.
“I think we won the game with two wingers, Kudus and Mathys, they made the difference,” De Zerbi said.
The 26-year-old Ghana international has made eight appearances across competitions for Tottenham Hotspur this season, registering two assists in the process.
Kudus, who recently returned from injury, will be hoping to maintain his momentum throughout the campaign after establishing himself as a key member of De Zerbi’s team.
