The 16 teams through to the CAF Champions League group stage are known, with the likely seeding pots emerging before Wednesday’s draw in Cairo.
The ceremony will begin at 13:00 French time, which is also the local time in Algeria, Cameroon and Tunisia. It will start at 12:00 in Morocco and Guinea, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) confirmed in a statement on its official website.
The qualified clubs include record participants Esperance de Tunis, alongside Al Hilal Omdurman, Petro Luanda, Club Africain, Colombe Sportive, Nouadhibou, Horoya, MAS de Fes, MC Alger, Orlando Pirates, Pyramids, RS Berkane, Simba SC, Wiliete, Young Africans and Zamalek.
The teams will be divided into four groups of four. Esperance de Tunis are expected to lead the first pot after qualifying for the competition’s group stage for a record 24th time.
They are likely to be joined in Pot One by RS Berkane, who have reached this stage for only the second time in their history, as well as Pyramids and Zamalek.
Pyramids won the penultimate edition of the competition, while Zamalek are the second most successful club in CAF Champions League history with five titles. Record winners Al Ahly are notable by their absence from this year’s line-up.
Al Hilal Omdurman, Simba SC, Young Africans and Petro Luanda are expected to make up Pot Two.
The third pot could feature MC Alger, the reigning three-time Algerian champions, alongside the South African champions Orlando Pirates, Nouadhibou and Horoya.
Club Africain, the current Tunisian champions, are among the sides expected to be placed in the fourth and final pot. They could be joined by newcomers Wiliete, who produced a surprise preliminary-round victory over holders Mamelodi Sundowns.
Cameroon champions Colombe du Sud and their Moroccan counterparts MAS de Fes are also projected to be in Pot Four.
The draw will take place in Cairo on Wednesday, with the final group allocations determining the opening stage of the competition.
