Former Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has backed Cristiano Ronaldo to reach 1,000 career goals, describing the Portuguese forward as a “beast”.
Carvajal expressed confidence in Ronaldo’s ability to achieve the milestone during an interview with Spanish newspaper AS, according to Fabrizio Romano, who shared the comments on X on Wednesday.
“Cristiano Ronaldo will reach 1,000 goals for sure! He’s a beast,” Carvajal said.
Ronaldo has continued to pursue the landmark figure after establishing himself as one of football’s most prolific goalscorers.
The former Real Madrid forward spent nine years at the Santiago Bernabéu, winning major domestic and European trophies and becoming the club’s all-time leading goalscorer.
Carvajal, meanwhile, reaffirmed his lifelong loyalty to the Spanish giants, declaring that his connection with the club would never change.
“I was born Madridista and I will die Madridista,” he said.
The Spanish defender rose through Real Madrid’s youth system before becoming a key member of the first team, winning numerous domestic and European titles.
He also expressed his willingness to pay to witness another dramatic comeback at the Santiago Bernabéu, where Real Madrid have produced several memorable turnarounds, particularly in the Champions League.
“I’d pay any money needed just to experience another magic remontada night at the Bernabéu,” Carvajal said.
His comments highlighted his admiration for Ronaldo’s goalscoring record and his enduring attachment to Real Madrid.
