Liverpool starlet Rio Ngumoha is one of the hottest properties in European football right now and Arsenal are right in there with interest should he move on.

The Gunners are fans of Ngumoha, who has made a fine start to life as a Liverpool player.

Having already been part of the England first-team set-up and with Andoni Iraola showing continued confidence in the teenager, Liverpool will be hoping he remains at Anfield for years to come.

However, Arsenal are keen on Ngumoha as they look to solve their own issues out wide.

Nevertheless, while the Gunners might want Ngumoha onboard, any potential deal could be difficult.

How Rio Ngumoha feels about leaving Liverpool

A lot of young players move around early in their career right now simply because of the financial rules in place. We’ve seen the likes of Elliott Anderson, Jacob Ramsey and more all move around due to that.

However, according to Liverpool journalist Lewis Steele, when it comes to Ngumoha, there’s little reason for him to seek a move away right now.

“I think from what I’ve from conversations I’ve had he’s not in it for the money Rio. Not yet anyway,” Steele revealed on The Anfield Index podcast.

“We’ll see how that transpires over the course of his career. But, um, he chose to come to Liverpool because of the pathway I would say the pathway to the first team has happened a bit quicker than even he might have expected.

“The word is there’s nothing of concern in terms of inside the building whether he’s going to leave or not. He’s had approaches from Bayern. I think Arsenal have shown interest. They’re not the only clubs that have shown interest by the way. From around Europe. But how he sees it is he’s enjoying his time at Liverpool and he wants to stay.”
