Newcastle United were held to a 1-1 draw away to Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
A stunning strike from Jacob Murphy in the 80th minute gave the Magpies the lead at Craven Cottage, but their advantage lasted just three minutes after substitute Rodrigo Muniz equalised.
Matthias Jaissle’s side were left frustrated in the first half after Dan Burn saw an opener controversially ruled out after Yoane Wissa was deemed to have fouled Timothy Castagne in the build-up. Murphy eventually put United in front but Muniz quickly hit back.

Here are our Newcastle United player ratings from West London:
Recovered well from his mistake on Monday night with a series of top-class saves. Denied Oscar Bobb and Josh King in the first half before keeping out Ryan Sessegnon at 1-1.
Showed a strong level of tactical understanding in the first half, often tucking in as the third centre-back while keeping a close eye on Alex Iwobi. Role changed slightly in the second half. Got a little clumsy in the latter stages.
Brought a bit of athleticism to Newcastle’s backline on his return to the XI. Read the game well, just couldn’t quite clear the ball in the build-up to Fulham’s equaliser.
Robbed of a goal against his former club in one of many strange decisions from the referee. Looked a lot more solid alongside Malick Thiaw. Unlucky to see Rodrigo Muniz’s goal deflect in off him.
Got better as the game progressed. Got forward well and should have really won it late on after his low save was saved by Bernd Leno.
Second game in a row he’s been brought off at the hour mark. Visibly tired after a generally solid first half.

Back in the team and showed why he has to continue to start after the international break. Neat, tidy and always looking for that forward pass.
A left-foot screamer to give Newcastle the lead. Should have had an assist earlier on in the game but the referee controversially chalked off Dan Burn’s goal.
Missed a hat-trick of chances, two of which were well saved by Bernd Leno and another he struck narrowly wide. Credit to getting in the right areas, but had to score.
Offered next to nothing, and not for the first time in recent weeks.
Like Wissa, this was a pretty anonymous showing. Strolled around the pitch at times. Isn't running about like the young, hungry lad we saw last season.

Better than Wissa, although it was a low bar.
Too safe with his passing. Can take inspiration from Sean Steur.
Has to start next game. Will Osula and Yoane Wissa have done little to justify staying in the team.
