Colorado’s Nov. 9, 1991 visit to Stillwater produced a thrilling finish against a winless Cowboys team.

Trailing 12-10 with 14 seconds remaining, No. 14 Colorado lined up for a 36-yard field goal. After Oklahoma State called a timeout, coach Bill McCartney called for a fake.

Holder Robbie James found freshman tight end Christian Fauria for a 20-yard touchdown with six seconds left, giving Colorado a 16-12 win. Colorado finished 6-0-1 in conference play and shared the Big Eight championship with Nebraska.

After the game, Oklahoma State head coach Pat Jones said, "The play at the end, however long I've been coaching, is the gutsiest call I've ever seen."
