ESPN's College GameDay picks Week 9's biggest games

Week 9 of the college football season is here, and ESPN's premier preview show is back to pick college football's most intriguing games.

This week, "College GameDay" was in Bloomington, Indiana, home of the defending College Football Playoff National Champion Indiana Hoosiers, for their Big 10 showdown with the Minnesota. It was the third time College GameDay originated from Bloomington, and the first time since the 2024 season when Indiana hosted Washington in Week 9.

This week, the usual lineup of Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee, and former Alabama head coach Nick Saban made their picks for this week's biggest games, with NBA Hall of Fame point guard Isiah Thomas serving as this week's celebrity guest picker.

Thomas played college basketball at Indiana from 1979-81, and was a key piece to the Hoosiers 1981 national championship team. He went on to play 13 NBA seasons, all with the Detroit Pistons, winning two NBA titles and appearing in 12 NBA All-Star games.

How did the College GameDay crew forecast this week's top games? Here's a look at this week's picks for Week 9 of the college football season.
