Andy Murray's life has changed significantly in the two years since he decided to quit tennis and he will now open the doors with wife Kim

Sir Andy Murray and his wife Kim have built a life away from the tennis court almost as fascinating as the Scot's remarkable sporting career, with a £110m fortune and a luxury hotel business among their ventures.

The three-time Grand Slam champion retired from professional tennis at the Paris Olympics in 2024, bringing an end to a glittering career that saw him win 46 titles, including two Wimbledon crowns and the US Open. He also claimed three Olympic medals, two gold and one silver, cementing his place among the greatest players of his generation.

Now, two years on from his final match, Murray's life looks very different. While he remains involved in tennis, including joining fellow British star Jack Draper's coaching team, he has also turned his attention to golf, business and family life with Kim.

And at the centre of their growing business interests is Cromlix House, a five-star hotel near Murray's home town of Dunblane in Scotland, which the couple bought in 2013 for a reported £1.8m.

The sprawling property offers guests the chance to stay in the same luxury surroundings that have become an important part of life for the Murray family.

They have now announced the hotel will feature in a forthcoming Channel Four documentary as the couple open the doors to TV cameras and viewers following their decision to take the plunge and work together for the first time.

“The last couple of years have been really full of change at Cromlix with a huge building project and a totally new direction for fine dining and wellness, and I was really keen to document that as there were so many personal stories and interesting discoveries along the way,” Kim said of the new series.

“Andy and I haven’t worked on anything together before, so that was a fascinating process - and a learning curve! I’ve loved shaping this building and estate into what’s now become a really thriving and much-loved Scottish business. I hope people enjoy watching the show and meeting the team behind the hotel.”

Andy Murray's £110m net worth

According to The Sunday Times Rich List, Murray's estimated wealth stood at £110m in 2026, making him joint-10th among the UK's wealthiest sportspeople alongside England captain Harry Kane.

The fortune reflects years of success at the highest level of tennis, lucrative sponsorship agreements and a growing portfolio of business interests.

Murray earned more than £50m in prize money during his playing career alone. However, his commercial interests have continued to develop since he stepped away from the sport.

The latest accounts for his company, 77 Management, show it is valued at just under £21.5m. The company oversees a range of his business interests, including his investment in Cromlix House.

Murray has also secured brand partnerships with Walker's Shortbread, Albert Bartlett potatoes and pet food company Purina. He co-founded tennis clothing brand AMC with Castore and invested in padel firm Game4Padel.

He has also moved into venture capital, becoming an associate partner at Redrice Ventures, while launching a YouTube channel, The Set, with his brother Jamie earlier this year.

Murray's estimated fortune puts him among the UK's richest sporting figures, although he remains some way behind Rory McIlroy, whose wealth was estimated at £325m in 2026. Bernie Ecclestone and his family topped the sportsperson list with reported wealth of £2bn.

Despite his growing business empire, Murray has not completely left tennis behind. After working with his former rival Novak Djokovic around the 2025 Australian Open, he is now supporting Draper, continuing his involvement in the sport that made his name.

Cromlix House is one of the most distinctive parts of the couple's business portfolio.

Set within 34 acres of private grounds and woodland near Dunblane, the five-star hotel offers a secluded Scottish country-house escape. Murray and Kim bought the property in 2013 for a reported £1.8m, with Kim taking a leading role in an ambitious renovation project.

The hotel has since earned significant recognition, being named Scotland's AA Hotel of the Year and awarded a Michelin Key in 2024.

It is now much more than a business investment for the family. Their four children — Sophia, 10, Edie, nine, Teddy, six, and Lola, five — regularly visit the property, with the hotel becoming a favourite place for them to spend time.

In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, Andy and Kim revealed that their children stay at Cromlix "three or four times a year".

The former world number one even admitted he had found himself apologising to guests when his children were around.

“If I were staying in a lovely hotel, I probably wouldn’t want the owner’s children running around in pyjamas,” he said. “They wake up ridiculously early.”

Kim, meanwhile, revealed that the children have developed their own favourite treats at the hotel.

The kids "come here and completely abuse the food," she said, adding: "Our youngest refuses to eat breakfast anywhere else, but she adores the crème brûlée porridge.”

The hotel allows guests to experience the property for themselves, with its country-house setting and private grounds offering a different side to the life of one of Britain's most successful sportsmen.

Andy Murray and Kim's relationship

Away from their business interests, Andy and Kim's relationship has been a constant presence throughout much of his tennis career.

The pair experienced a brief separation before getting back together, with Murray later admitting he made an ill-advised purchase while adjusting to being single.

Speaking during his Centre Stage show at the New Wimbledon Theatre, he recalled buying a Ferrari in the aftermath of their split.

"I bought a Ferrari. I called it Barry the Ferrari," he said. "I thought it was cool, but it didn’t last very long. The first day I took it out to drive, it got pulled over by the police because the insurance hadn’t cleared. I got rid of it over a couple of months, because it wasn’t really me.”

The anecdote offered a glimpse of a different side to the usually focused and disciplined tennis star. His reunion with Kim ultimately led to marriage and family life together, with the couple now raising four children.

Their relationship has remained strong, and Murray has been open about the role his wife played in supporting him through the demands of his career.

In an interview with The i, he paid tribute to Kim's backing, saying: “Kim has been unbelievable when it comes to supporting me throughout my career. She’s been the perfect supporter. She really encouraged me to keep pursuing my career.”

He also acknowledged the challenges of maintaining their relationship while raising a young family.

“It’s hard sometimes because we have quite a few kids, but we try and make time for lunch or going to the gym together when the kids are at school. I think making time for one another is important. You shouldn’t feel guilty about that.

“My ambition is to try and be a good dad and a good husband, and when the kids are more grown up and are able to take care of themselves, then I’ll focus a little bit more on what I want to do with that stage of my life. But right now, I’m really happy doing what I’m doing. It’s a big responsibility bringing up children.”

Life after tennis and putting family first

For Murray, retirement has meant being able to spend more time with his family after years of travelling around the world to compete.

The transition has not been without its adjustments, but Kim suggested that their lives had already changed considerably before he played his final match.

Speaking to Harper's Bazaar, she said: “By the end of Andy’s career, life already looked different,” she said as she addressed the transition. “We had the children, there were injuries, then Covid. We weren’t the same people we were in our twenties.”

Murray has also spoken about how his relationship with his children has grown stronger since he retired, with everyday family routines now taking priority.

In an interview with HELLO! magazine, he explained how much he valued being able to take on the school run and attend events that his tennis career had previously made difficult.

"I'm very lucky that I'm in a position where I'm able to do that," he said. "I do all of the drop-offs and pickups, and I'm now there for all of the birthdays and school events. I love it."

He has also continued to explore interests outside tennis, including golf. The Scot has competed in professional-amateur tournaments, including the Alfred Dunhill Championship in Scotland, and has discussed the possibility of entering regional qualifying for The Open Championship.
