Cristian Chivu insisted that consistency would be key to achieving what Inter are trying to build this season following their victory over Feyenoord in the Champions League.
Inter arrived into Tuesday's clash at Stadion Feijenoord on the back of a 3-1 defeat to AC Milan in the Derby della Madonnina, which was their first Serie A loss of the season.
But they responded with a 3-0 win over Feyenoord, with Yann Bisseck, Francesco Pio Esposito and Piotr Zielinski all on target against their Eredivisie opponents.
Chivu's side took the lead in the eighth minute when Bisseck picked out the bottom left corner before Esposito's header struck the crossbar and found its way past Tjark Ernst.
Zielinski added to Inter's advantage nine minutes after the restart as the Serie A giants registered their 87th win in the Champions League, drawing level with rivals Milan for the joint-second most of any Italian club, only Juventus have more (118).
Inter also remain unbeaten across their 14 Champions League meetings with Dutch sides (W11 D3), with this 3-0 win being their biggest against a Dutch club in the competition.
Cesc Fabregas' Como are up next in their next Serie A outing, and Chivu is hoping the confidence-boosting win over Feyenoord gives his team the momentum they need to get back to winning ways in the league.
"Consistency is what brings results, it gives you self-confidence and belief in what you are doing, it is what we are looking for at this moment," Chivu told Sky Sport Italia, as quoted by Football Italia.
"This game gives us a big boost of confidence in what we are building, so we know football can take you down some strange paths, but you must be able to react and get back onto the right path."

Inter had been criticised for their bad starts in recent matches, with this the first time they had taken the lead as early as the eighth minute since August.
Bisseck's strike saw him score his first goal in the Champions League (27th appearance), becoming just the second German player to score for Inter in the competition, after Robin Gosens against Barcelona in October 2022.
It was assisted by Djed Spence, who registered his first goal involvement in any club competition since April 2025, ending a 58-game run without a goal contribution. He also became the first English player to either score or assist for Inter in the Champions League.
And Chivu believes Inter were "the best version of ourselves" against Feyenoord, adding: "We have certain values, we understand certain things and put them on the pitch.
"That doesn't mean we haven't done well so far this season.
"We tried to be the best version of ourselves, it worked with organisation, intensity and everything we needed for a strong performance in a stadium that is not easy to play in.
"We always have discussions after every game, whether it goes well or badly, we try to correct errors and build on our strengths.
"Sometimes it goes better than others, perhaps we understood what wasn't going on as well.
"The Inter world, the club owners, the fans, we are all aware of the values of these players who want to fly the flag high. That has never been in doubt."
