Yagiz Kaan Erdogmus could well be the world’s most talented 15-year-old chess player. The Turkish prodigy — the fourth youngest Grandmaster in history at the time he achieved the honour — is currently ranked 17th, with a highly impressive Elo rating of 2731. Five-time World champion Magnus Carlsen believes the teenager’s quality of chess is unprecedented for his age. Erdogmus was in Bengaluru recently for the Tech Mahindra Global Chess League, in which he played for PBG Alaskan Knights.
