This season, the Chicago Bears have loved to play in primetime games. They have not shied away from the moment, and being on the big stage has brought out the best in this team. It certainly has brought out the best in former USC Trojan Caleb Williams.
Caleb Williams was spectacular for another straight week. He became the first quarterback to throw for over 200 yards this season against the Seattle Seahawks. He did that a little bit into the 3rd quarter. That just goes to show how unstoppable he has been this season. Caleb finished the game with 24-34, throwing for 247 yards and a touchdown. The Bears offense is simply unfair when Caleb is completing 70% of his passes. All of his playmakers had big performances, and D'Andre Swift found the end zone 3 times on the ground due to how dominant the pass game was.
On the other side of the ball, it was a struggle all game long for former Trojan Sam Darnold. He looked like he was seeing ghosts. Ryan Poles has to feel vindicated by the addition of Jeffery Simmons, as Simmons took over this game. When he was off the field, that is when Seattle's offense finally had success.
Jeffery Simmons matches exactly what Caleb Williams can do on offense. That is exactly what the Bears have been needing. This was a dominant performance by the Bears in every facet of the game, and they did it against the defending champs.
Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears are the most dangerous team in the NFL right now. It is hard to say there has been a team better than them since the return of Caleb Williams. The Seahawks had a humbling loss and may not return to the Super Bowl this season. However, with how this Bears team looks, there could be USC Trojan representation for back-to-back seasons at quarterback.
