After a difficult October, it seems Ruben Amorim will give some of his more prominent AC Milan players a break in the Europa League.
The game against Ferencvaros is the first game where Amorim will really get a chance to rotate. He couldn’t in the first game against Benfica, and a reaction was needed against RB Salzburg – though a few youngsters did play.
Against Bournemouth, it also wasn’t considered. However, it will now be an opportunity to rotate at San Siro, in a game where Milan will be expected to win.
After the derby – and just generally a long month – Amorim is expected to name several changes to his XI on Thursday night. As Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) writes, it will be a ‘younger’ side on Thursday, but not to snub the Europa League. Indeed, the average age is expected to be at least four years younger than the 28-year-old squad that played against Inter.
Lorenzo Torriani will replace the suspended Mike Maignan, Luka Modric will be replaced by Ardon Jashari and then there will be other starts for Davide Bartesaghi, Alphadjo Cisse and even ‘the veteran’ Omari Hutchinson.
Sankhoun Diawara could start again, this time in place of Strahinja Pavlovic, and maybe Pervis Estupinan and Filippo Terracciano will start.
Additionally, Christian Comotto and Francesco Camarda could be seen, with one a possible starter. It seems more likely that it’d be the striker at this moment, though.
