It represents a change in fortunes for Celtic’s £11million record signing, who featured in all four of his country’s matches during the previous international break.

Høgh’s omission was confirmed in Denmark’s squad announcement and comes at a difficult time for the former Bodø/Glimt forward.

Riemer has selected Rasmus Højlund and William Osula among his attacking options, while Mohamed Daramy, Gustav Isaksen and Andreas Skov Olsen are also included.
Denmark travel to Portugal on November 14 before hosting Norway in Copenhagen three days later.
Høgh had previously been involved regularly at international level, making substitute appearances in four consecutive Nations League fixtures.
However, he now finds himself outside the squad as Denmark prepare for two important matches.
The decision follows a challenging period at Celtic, although Riemer has not publicly attributed the omission to the striker’s club performances.
Høgh arrived at Celtic with considerable expectations following his £11million transfer from Norwegian champions Bodø/Glimt.
He demonstrated his finishing ability with a hat-trick against Kilmarnock on August 9, but has struggled to maintain that early momentum.
Introduced for the final 25 minutes, Høgh was unable to make the difference as Martin O’Neill’s side suffered another disappointing result.
However, not all of those 14 appearances have been starts, an important distinction when assessing his recent goalscoring record.
Celtic’s difficulties in attack have not been limited to one player, with O’Neill attempting to find greater consistency from his forward options.
Høgh’s international omission arrives as the Hoops prepare for Thursday’s Europa League encounter with Beşiktaş at Celtic Park.
Høgh will be hoping to force his way back into the manager’s plans and rediscover the form that persuaded Celtic to make such a substantial investment.
With Denmark duty no longer on his immediate schedule, Høgh is also set to have an opportunity to work with Celtic’s coaching staff during the upcoming international break.
