Estevao Willian looked like a player with something to prove during Chelsea's victory over Manchester United, producing an energetic attacking display that gave the visitors plenty to worry about.

The Brazilian youngster was clearly determined to make his mark, and his statistics reflected just how much of a threat he posed throughout the afternoon. He wanted to show everyone what he was capable of, and he certainly made his point.

Despite his limited opportunities this season, Estevao showed no hesitation in taking responsibility in the final third, showing he is a winner. He registered six shots against United, more than any other player on the pitch, underlining his willingness to take risks and make things happen whenever he got on the ball.

He was clearly determined to get on the scoresheet, but was unlucky to see two goals ruled out for offside, while three shots on target were well saved by Senne Lammens.

It was an impressive return to the starting XI, highlighting his willingness to take on defenders, test the goalkeeper and make things happen rather than simply play it safe. When Chelsea need someone to take the game to the opposition and cause problems, the Brazilian is certainly the man for the job.

His contribution went beyond shooting and his eye for goal, too. The 19-year-old recorded three key passes and completed two of his eight attempted crosses, regularly looking for ways to create opportunities for his teammates.

His willingness to get on the ball and make things happen gave Chelsea another dimension in attack, particularly when the game needed someone to take the initiative with Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers quick up until the goal.

Estevao also attempted five dribbles, completing two, continuing to show the directness and confidence that have made him such an exciting prospect. Not everything came off, but that is part of his game. He is a player who wants to take defenders on, create openings and make something happen whenever he gets the opportunity.

Morgan Rogers deserved plenty of praise for his outstanding goal, while Romeo Lavia also produced an excellent performance in midfield. However, Estevao's contribution should not be overlooked.
