An enticing Week 10 slate in college football got off to a blazing start, with a Friday night finish in Arizona vs. TCU that you have to see to believe.
The No. 22 Wildcats hosted the Horned Frogs on Friday, Nov. 6 and the home team was down late in the fourth quarter 28-20. With just under two minutes to go, Arizona quarterback Noah Fifita found Quicy Craig for a 15-yard touchdown pass for the opportunity to tie the score. However, the 2-point attempt failed, keeping the score at 28-26 in favor of TCU.
All TCU needed was the offense to get the ball and run out the clock for the upset.
The Horned Frogs didn't get the chance.
On the ensuing kick off, Arizona's Ian French launched a pooch kick that caught TCU by surprise and landed in no man's land. TCU's Ed Small tried to recover it, but he couldn't handle it, and that opened the door for Arizona's Zuri Watson to sprint to the ball and recover it at the 26-yard line.
From there, Arizona was able to run some clock for Michael Salgado-Medina, who kicked the go-ahead 37-yard field goal with 39 seconds left to give the Wildcats the improbable 29-28 lead.
TCU got a chance to win the game, but on the first play of its drive, Jaden Craig had a pass intercepted by Tyrese Boss to seal an Arizona win.
With the victory, Arizona is 7-2 and with a 4-2 record in the Big 12, still are in the hunt for the conference title. On the other hand, TCU is 4-5 with another disappointing outing under Sonny Dykes.
