A car suddenly raced onto a football field in South Africa, sending players and officials scrambling for safety. The driver appeared to chase the referee before turning toward the visiting team’s bench.

The footage is circulating again, but the incident happened in February 2020 during a match between Luka Ball Controllers and Polokwane City Rovers in the ABC Motsepe League. Contemporary reports said City Rovers were leading 2-1 when the driver entered the field.

The referee and players escaped the vehicle. Police were asked to investigate, but reports at the time did not identify the driver or confirm an arrest.
