Roberto De Zerbi has got his Tottenham squad firing.
Three wins on the spin have seen Spurs move from rock bottom and up to ninth in the Premier League table, with supporters now looking up rather than down. They recorded a much-needed first win of the season against Coventry City before following that up by beating Chelsea 2-0 at Stamford Bridge. De Zerbi's men then put Crystal Palace to the sword with a comfortable 2-0 success on Saturday.
Although Tottenham are in-form and starting to find their groove, it does feel as though De Zerbi still has an issue up front.
Dominic Solanke has been disappointing this season, having scored just ONCE in nine Premier League appearances. That came in the 1-1 draw against Manchester United last month, as the forward headed home late to rescue a point for Spurs.
Apart from that, Solanke has flattered to deceive. The ex-Bournemouth man has underperformed his expected goals (xG) by -1.3 and has missed three big chances this season, which is among the most in the top flight.
Solanke's form has seen some Tottenham fans admit selling Will Lankshear was a mistake and have since called for the club to bring him back in January. Lankshear left Spurs to sign for Middlesborough in a £10million plus add-ons deal in the summer.
Since his move to Boro, Lankshear has been in inspired form, netting an impressive 13 goals in 13 Championship appearances this season, and he is the division's top scorer by quite a distance. His impressive goalscoring run has seen Lankshear compared to ex-Tottenham forward and now-Ballon d'Or winner Harry Kane, and it's no surprise given his start to the season.
But Spurs might be justified in selling Lankshear now there is another gem coming through the club's academy. And that is a certain 17-year-old sensation called Oliver Boast, who has been in electric form for the Under 18s this season.
A powerful 6ft 1in centre forward, Boast is catching the eye at Tottenham for his performances in the U18s, having scored a staggering 16 goals and provided four assists in just 12 appearances across all competitions this season. On Saturday, Boast scored another brace - his fifth of the season - during Tottenham U18s' 3-1 win at Bournemouth.
Boast, who signed his first professional contract at Tottenham in the summer, is the top scorer in the U18 Premier League by quite a distance and could become Spurs' next Kane.
Did it happen before or after?
Round 1 of 9
There is no doubt Boast has the potential to be that, having scored all types of goals for the U18s. Like Kane, he can drop in and create for his teammates, as well as driving into the box and finding the net from close range, like a proper goalscorer often does.
When he scored FOUR against West Brom back in September, all of Boast's goals were first-time finishes in the box. He had no time to think about any of them but showed great striker instincts and was clinical in front of goal.
Although there is no doubt that Boast is not ready to be chucked in to first-team action just yet, he is definitely one to watch for the future and could prove Tottenham right by selling Lankshear with him coming through the academy.
