Charlie Woods and Benjamin boys golf took first-place honors in Monday's regional championship at the Miami Shores Country Club.

Woods, son of legendary golfer Tiger Woods and Benjamin's No. 1 seed, shot a 70 (1-under) to tie with teammate Brooks Colton in pacing the Buccaneers on the day. The performance came a week after pacing the entire field while winning a district crown with the Bucs.

Benjamin, who shot a 283 as a team, tied with fellow Palm Beach County program Oxbridge Academy, setting the two teams up with a sudden-death tiebreaker for regional championship honors.

The Bucs were then able to defeat their rival to take the regional crown.

"We hung in there," Benjamin head coach Toby Harbeck said. "We hit a lot of pars. When the smoke cleared, we were there on top. We were one shot with Oxbridge the whole day, back and forth, back and forth."
