The Belgian missed the pre-match press conference for the Champions League duel with Arsenal, but he led his team from the dugout normally after having to sit through the entire 90 minutes against RB Leipzig.

Sky Sports added Kompany had already felt pain in his legs before the match against Arsenal due to a virus and the resulting hip problems.
