Here is the XI we would send out against Dundee United at Parkhead tonight.
We’ve gone 4-1-2-3, with Callum McGregor sitting in front of the back four. Martin O’Neill names his side an hour before the 7.45pm kick-off, so there’s still time to tell us we’ve got it wrong.
Sam Johnstone has started the last two games and O’Neill has made it clear he wants a proper look at the 33-year-old before settling on his number one.
“And I would like to know what Sam can do, and I think this is the whole point,” O’Neill told Celtic Player. We’d give him that chance tonight.
With Alistair Johnston out until after the international break, Colby Donovan stays at right-back, as long as the knock that forced him off at Easter Road has cleared.
Cameron Carter-Vickers returns alongside Liam Scales, with Kieran Tierney at left-back. Dane Murray made the SPFL Team of the Week after five straight starts and can feel hard done by, but a fit Carter-Vickers starts for us.
Mika Baur and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain play ahead of McGregor. We’ve picked the Englishman over Nygren because we’d like to see him get a run of games. He has started only three times this season and sat on the bench for the full 90 minutes at Easter Road.
We know the numbers. Nygren has eight goals and seven assists in 17 games and is joint top of the Premiership scoring charts on six. But when the goals aren’t coming, Celtic struggle big time. We need to find ways to win games effectively with other players for the times when Nygren is off it. I understand anyone who looks at this and thinks, what? Wed have no qualms with him starting, for obvious reasons, but as we still seek to utilise our squad best, perhaps coming off the bench tonight would be the right call.
Kasper Høgh keeps his place through the middle. He hasn’t scored since his hat-trick against Kilmarnock, but O’Neill is sticking with him and so are we.
“Just confidence and it will come. And then hopefully there are a flurry of goals after that,” the Celtic boss said this week.
Camilo Durán stays on the right, where he can come inside on his left foot as he did for the winner at Easter Road. He has 10 goals and five assists this season.
On the left, we’d hand Jota his first start of the season. He has had 87 minutes off the bench so far, the latest after replacing Callum Osmand on Sunday. Osmand has done little wrong, but we’d like to see what Jota can do from the start.
Hyun-jun Yang is still out with the hamstring injury he picked up at the Asian Games, although O’Neill expects him back in training next week.

Celtic go into the game four points clear at the top, with Dundee United fourth. Steven McLean is the referee, and here’s how to watch Celtic tonight.
