Hearts have suffered a massive injury blow with the news that Harry Milne could be out for the season.
The influential left-back suffered what is feared to be an ACL injury in training last night.
The Jambos won’t know the full extent of the issue until they get Milne home, the swelling goes down and they can get his knee scanned.
It comes as another major injury blow for Wouter Vrancken.
Milne picked up the issue in training at the Papara Park Stadium last night, ahead of this evening’s Conference League group clash with Trabzonspor.
It leaves Stephen Kingsley as Hearts’ only fit senior left-back.
Kingsley will sit out of tonight’s game with Trabzonspor to manage his load and make sure he is fit for Sunday’s Premiership clash with Motherwell.
Winger Rogers Mato will be asked to fill that void in Trabzon tonight and is likely to go have to go head-to-head with Mo Salah.
Hearts are unlikely to delve into the free transfer market in the short-term.
They are more likely to run with what they have and then look to buy in the January window.

Hearts are already down to the bare bones through injury.
Craig Halkett is out until the new year with an Achilles injury.
Hearts go into tonight’s game also light on central midfield players.
Tom Renaud, Blair Spittal and Oisin McEntee and Eduardo Agyeu are all out injured.
Stuart Findlay has also been left at home after he picked up an injury in training earlier this week.
