It's almost time for the 2026 high school football postseason.

The latest USA TODAY Sports Super 25 high school football rankings showed two new teams enter the picture of the best teams in the country so far this season.

At least eight states across the country have begun postseason play in some format. That means teams will now have to win or see their season end, which could have a major impact on the rankings moving forward.

Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) remains the No. 1 team in the nation in USA TODAY Sports Super 25 rankings, while St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, FL) remains No. 2. However, the Raiders remain the top team in the USA TODAY Sports Composite Rankings entering Week 11.

USA TODAY Sports has developed its composite rankings using five different national polls (USA TODAY, MaxPreps, SC Next, HSFB America and Massey). Each is weighted differently to add credibility to the rankings.
