David Moyes is tight-lipped over Jack Grealish’s availability to face Coventry City on Friday night.
The forward was left out of Everton’s 1-0 win over Newcastle United on Monday evening with the Toffees releasing a curt statement shortly after announcing their team.
Via their official social media channels Everton confirmed: “Jack Grealish is not match fit and therefore not part of tonight’s squad.”
That came on the back of the winger missing the 2-0 loss to Arsenal with what was described as an ‘illness’.
It also came against the back-drop of a ‘breach of club discipline’, before the Carabao Cup win over Newcastle and amid speculation about his future at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Speaking after the game Moyes told BBC Sport: "He's unavailable at the moment and we will make a decision with the club when we think that availability comes back.

He followed that up with: "All I'm giving out is that he is unavailable at the moment." When pressed on the recent disciplinary issue the Scot said: "No, I can't comment on that."
Asked if there is a way back for Grealish Moyes replied: "Of course there is, yeah."
Other than that the Toffees have a clean bill of health and moved up to seventh as Thierno Barry scored the only goal of last night’s game.
The Sky Blues could be without six players on Merseyside, with Frank Onyeka joining Bobby Thomas on the sidelines. Long term absentees Luke Woolfenden, Josh Eccles, Haji Wright and Aurele Amenda are all out.
Speaking after the 3-1 win over Sunderland on Saturday Frank Lampard suggested Onyeka could miss the Everton match but would likely be ready after the international break.
Famously Grealish was a 16-year-old and a substitute when Aston Villa faced Lampard and Chelsea in 2012 and the youngster asked the current Sky Blues boss for his shirt.
