A quick turnaround for the Baggies after Saturday’s heroics - with another huge test, this time at home.

Good evening from The Hawthorns, where Albion welcome another of the fancied Championship sides this season, Southampton.

  • Home boss James Morrison has pondered an unchanged side after Saturday's stunning win at West Ham
  • Morrison confirms an unchanged line-up decision

  • Albion lose skipper George Campbell to injury
  • Visitors level it up shortly into second half

Somehow Matsuki gets away with the clearest booking of the season for a shirt pull on Molumby. Now Whitwell pulled up for a foul. Albion and the fans fuming.

O’Leary top near post stop from a Mepham deflection off Azaz, almost the same goal conceded from Bowen on Sat. Top reactions.

James Ward-Prowse’s delivery dealt with well by Phillips this time.

Saints corner off Pereira. Heavens have well and truly opened here. Throwing it down

Nzingoula in the book now for standing over a free-kick. Soft.

Better! Storming Horn Myhre tackle and Nzingoula works forward and finds a pass for Price. Cross overhit. Nzingoula was caught and is feeling the pain. Still down.

Saints rally and force corner after frustrating break in play and Molumby blocks a strike behind. A near-post header threatens Albion for a moment but O’Leary is confident with it dropping wide.

Visitors back on it though and a smart pass into box finds Azaz down the side of Phillips. Tame effort easily saved.

Big Albion chance as they go close. Albion have reacted so well to Saints having pulled level.

A corner went deep, helped back across goal and there is Styles, whose effort from an angle cleared almost from goalline. Very close. Nzingoula shot dealt with. Bree for hosts now being hammered by home fans - “you cheating ********”

Pressure this half has told.

A patient move worked left, cross is deep and Styles can’t win his header as he is beaten in the air and the header crosses the six yard box, with Phillips and Mepham unable to clear, and there is Edozie to hammer in low from close range.

Visitors level through Edozie.

Big away striker Divin Mubama not had a sniff so far and wants a penalty under pressure from Pereira but that is not a foul in a million years.

Mepham with yet another cool clearance from Matsuki’s cross.

A Baggies body hits the deck as Soton head it but Molumby thwacks it clear

49’ Good low clearance Mepham after Saints get to left byline. Then Molumby clears excellent and then visitors come again and Diakite makes fine challenge. Corner.

Already more from hosts than in first half.

Side note but Chris Mepham now with the Albion armband.

Back under way. 1-0 Albion 46’

Nat Phillips on for George Campbell. Latter warmed up at half-time.

One sour note, I wouldn’t expect to see George Campbell for the second half.

That looked like a muscle one, and it’s not worth the risk with Nat Phillips ready to score.
