Don't count out the Atlanta Dream just yet, as Angel Reese thinks a title could still be coming her team's way. The former LSU star expressed confidence in Atlanta climbing back from its 3-2 WNBA Finals hole after Monday's 64-55 loss to the Golden State Valkyries.
Atlanta has lost two straight after taking a 2-1 lead to begin the series, but Reese isn't panicking.
"I still believe in our team," Reese said, per ESPN's Kendra Andrews. "I still believe that we can win this, one game at a time… It's not going to rain too much longer for us."
Golden State has held Reese in check after she dominated the Dream's first two wins of the series. Reese has 15 points on 4-for-20 from the field over the last two games, tallying nine turnovers in the process. In the prior two games, she had 51 points on 17-for-28 shooting.
It's now or never for Reese and the Dream to get back on track.
Game 6 of the WNBA Finals is set for Thursday at 12:30 p.m. ET at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
Because of a scheduling conflict with the NBA's Atlanta Hawks, who play the Cleveland Cavaliers the same day at State Farm Arena. The Dream either had to play in a much smaller arena or have the early tip-off time, and the latter it is.
