Chiefs host nine players for workouts ahead of Week 9 matchup vs. Jets

The Kansas City Chiefs hosted nine players for workouts on Wednesday, November 4, ahead of their Week 9 matchup against the New York Jets at Arrowhead Stadium.

Ultimately, the team decided to sign just one of the players it hosted — rookie wide receiver Jacob De Jesus.

Among the other players who attended a workout with Kansas City were defensive backs Alex Austin, Dan Jackson, Jalen Kimber and Roman Parodie, pass-catchers Bub Means, Justin Shorter, and Jalen Walthall, and pass-rusher Jay Tufele.

News of the Chiefs' many workouts was first reported by veteran NFL insider Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 in Houston, Texas:

De Jesus' signing with Kansas City's practice squad may prove to be a notable transaction if injuries continue to affect the Chiefs' depth at the wide receiver position, but fans should not expect to see the former California Golden Bear suit up for the team's Week 9 tilt with the Jets this weekend.
