After deciding late that he wanted a career in sports journalism, Daniel worked his way up the ladder in an unconventional manner.
Having opted against university, Daniel worked with Sky Sports as a freelance contributor and translator during transfer windows while also volunteering on several other blog pages and outlets to get a portfolio of content together.
Daniel then worked with Barnet FC as part of their social media team before starting his own website, which focused on football and MMA content.
That eventually led to work with 90min and Reach PLC with The Mirror, Daily Record, Daily Express, and Manchester Evening News.
Following that, Daniel spent two-and-a-half years with Breaking Media covering Everton, Rangers, Leeds, West Ham and other clubs before joining GiveMeSport as a Premier League editor.
As well as football, Daniel is a huge MMA fan and has appeared on YouTube and podcast content too.

Manchester United legend has revealed that he knows some of the first-team players are not being professional off the pitch, following their 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.
The Red Devils stretched their winless run to eight games as they were thrashed by the Cherries at Old Trafford, leaving them 16th in the Premier League table with just seven points from their opening eight games, while they have won just two of 12 in all competitions.
Manager Michael Carrick is expected to be sacked after the team's performances so far this season, with the club hierarchy holding talks on Monday to make a final decision, but Neville believes the club's failings go far beyond the manager.
Fans also made their feelings clear during the game, as they chanted for Carrick with his song, while they booed the players off the pitch at full-time, and also sang songs against the ownership and board.
But speaking in his podcast after the game while in the stands, Neville believed the players need to take more blame for the state of the club over recent years, and revealed that he knows not all the players are fully committed or doing the right things off the pitch.
Who got more assists?

“I live in Manchester - they’re not that professional, some of them," he said.
"I’ve got no time for them. There’s a few of them that don’t go to bed at the right time, don’t eat the right things, don’t think about Manchester United every single minute of every single day - they’re not living and breathing this football club as they should be - like professionals should.”
Carrick has really struggled this season, and there are a number of reasons as to why. The players haven't performed, his coaching style has been found out, and he wasn't supported adequately in the transfer market.
But the team and squad is still more than good enough to be performing better than it is, and ultimately that is down to the manager.
However, it's clear Neville knows something that isn't quite public knowledge, and it suggests more is going on than meets the eye. If that's the case, and players are being unprofessional off the pitch, then INEOS and the club hierarchy need to do everything they can to get those people out of the club, and reset the culture to get the club back where it belongs.
