Russell Martin has urged Admir Bristric to remain patient as the Leicester City striker waits for his next opportunity, having been left out of the last five League One matchday squads.
Bristric joined Leicester from Olimpija Ljubljana in the summer and has made eight appearances this season. His only goals came in the 6-1 victory over Fulham Under-21s in the Jersey Mike's Trophy last month.
However, Emil Riis' arrival on deadline day has pushed the Bosnian further down Martin's pecking order at centre-forward. Bristric played 21 minutes in the 4-0 defeat to Oxford United, which marked Riis' debut, but has since been left out of the matchday squads in the league to face Stockport, Barnsley, Peterborough, Doncaster and Bromley.
Liam Cullen and Bobby De Cordova-Reid have both been preferred to Bristric as substitutes, with Cullen even filling in at centre-forward in place of Riis during Tuesday night's 4-0 win over Bromley.

Ahead of Saturday's trip to Luton, Martin was asked why he had opted against naming the 23-year-old on the bench despite his specialist role as a centre-forward. "I think that we have Bobby and Cullen who can both play there and be more versatile in positions, that's it," he said.
"Admir trains like a beast, I really enjoy working with him. We really enjoy working with him and he hasn't had a huge amount of minutes, but he's a young guy in a new country, adapting to a new way of working, and I think he's doing brilliantly.

"So there's no rush for him, whilst it's frustrating for him, I'm sure, not playing. He trains brilliantly, will get minutes at some point and just needs to be ready. Also, he can watch and learn a lot from Emil at the moment and what we require from the No.9 and what he brings to the team.
"Admir knows he just has to be ready. We talk a lot and we need to keep him ready in the best way we see possible. He's good, he's in a good place and he might just have to be a little patient."
