The Kentucky Wildcats volleyball program has become one of the nation's best, with a national championship, and another national championship game appearance in recent seasons. Bring in, and keeping, elite talent has been a big part of that, and on Wednesday, they announced the return of two more for 2027.
Brooklyn DeLeye has been one of the country's biggest stars, and best outside hitters. She has been the SEC Player of the Year and an All-American in the past, and is well on her way to another big season.
Molly Tuozzo is Kentucky's libero, and has also been an All-American and All-SEC player. Her ability to get to, and dig out, even the toughest kill attempts is unmatched across the sport.
Both players were given the opportunity to return for a fifth season by the NCAA and the new five-in-five rule. They were a part of the 2023 class, which falls under the group of players who get an extra year of eligibility. DeLeye and Tuozzo will be taking advantage.
This season still has a chance to be special for the Wildcats, and they are looking for another deep postseason run. Next season, however, is already off to a good start too.
