Man Utd midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is back in training ahead of Saturday’s game against Chelsea.
In what will be a major boost for under-fire head coach Michael Carrick, the 21-year-old is poised to return to the matchday squad this weekend.
Mainoo has missed the last four games against Atletico Madrid, Leeds, Como and Bournemouth with an unspecified injury.
Speaking on Tuesday last week, Carrick said that the England international would be out for up to “10 days” and that has proven to be an accurate timeframe.
Expected Return Date – Saturday 31st October vs Chelsea (a)
The forward remains on the treatment table as he tries to overcome both hip and thigh problems.
There is still a chance that Rashford could return to training in time to face Chelsea, but that seems unlikely at the moment.
Expected Return Date – November
Carrick has mentioned that the left-back would be out for a “little longer” than Mainoo, so he was not expected to face Chelsea.
Shaw has not featured since the 1-1 draw against Tottenham earlier this month.
Depending on the grade of the tear, Dorgu could soon be available for selection, or he could be out for another month or so. No exact timeline has been given for his comeback.
Expected Return Date – November to December
The Slovenian international is suffering from a shin injury that has kept him sidelined since the 3-2 defeat to Brighton in the Carabao Cup last month.
Carrick said a couple of weeks ago that the club’s medical team are still trying to get to the bottom of the issue.
Expected Return Date – Unknown
The midfielder underwent surgery after sustaining a serious knee injury at the World Cup.
Ugarte is now in rehabilitation, but there is no expectation that he will play again before the end of the calendar year.
