Star passer Patrick Mahomes surpassed legendary signal-caller Peyton Manning on one of the NFL's all-time quarterback leaderboards during the Kansas City Chiefs' Week 8 loss to the Denver Broncos.
With his exceptional outing against Denver, Mahomes now stands alone atop the league's record books for three-touchdown games in a quarterback's first 10 seasons, breaking a tie he held with Manning's previous record of 48 such performances.
Mahomes finished his night against the Broncos with 30 completions on 41 attempts for 321 yards and three touchdown passes. He was not intercepted during the game and also tallied six rushing yards on two attempts.
While Mahomes' outstanding effort wasn't enough to lift the Chiefs to victory against the Broncos, the two-time MVP will look to carry the momentum he gained in Week 8 into Kansas City's next matchup: an AFC showdown with the New York Jets at Arrowhead Stadium on November 9.
