Tottenham Hotspur are set to lock horns with Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday in the Premier League.
Spurs have picked up form in recent weeks after a dismal start to the season, winning three Premier League matches in a row. Roberto De Zerbi’s men delivered a professional display in the 2-0 victory over 10-man Crystal Palace.
Tottenham must be raring to go into the November break with smiles by beating Leeds United, who enter the contest off the back of a 2-0 away defeat to Bournemouth. Without much ado, here is the predicted Tottenham lineup for the upcoming league fixture vs. Leeds United.
Antonin Kinsky enjoyed a relatively calmer evening against Crystal Palace, who barely provided any attacking threat after Jean-Philippe Mateta’s early dismissal. The Czech Republic glovesman will be keen to keep a third clean sheet in a row.
Archie Gray opened the scoring with a header at the back post against Palace. The Englishman was subbed off at half-time because he received a first-half yellow card and Roberto De Zerbi did not want to risk him getting sent off.
Despite Pedro Porro being fit, we think De Zerbi will continue with Gray at right-back. Andy Robertson, Micky van de Ven and Jan Paul van Hecke will complete the defensive unit. Spurs defenders have to be disciplined to keep Leeds at bay.
Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes are building a strong partnership in the middle of the park, and De Zerbi must not risk disrupting it. They will continue in the double pivot, and having Bentancur available again will give the visitors an experienced option to bring off the bench when required.
Omar Marmoush is expected to continue in the No.10 role, but Maddison could get minutes at Elland Road if Tottenham are struggling to find a way past Leeds. Dejan Kulusevski has made cameo appearances in the last three games and should get another chance to impress as he builds his fitness.
Mathys Tel and Mohammed Kudus are expected to continue in wide areas. The duo will try to pin Leeds’ wing-backs and create problems for their defence with their pace and dribbling.
Leading the Tottenham attack will be Dominic Solanke, who must try to improve his overall game and continue more.
