The Colorado Buffaloes men's basketball team and head coach Tad Boyle are gearing up for the 2026-27 season opener on Monday night. The Buffs hope to open the year with a home win against the Western Athletic Conference's Abilene Christian Wildcats.

A trio of sophomore returns, Ian Inman, Jalin Hollans, and Josiah Sanders, rounds out the returning pieces, with all three expected to take a big job in production.
Newcomer forward Justin Neely was brought in to shore up the Buffaloes' struggles on the glass, averaging 11.5 rebounds last year at UNC Greensboro. He is joined by transfer center Noah Feddersen from North Dakota State, who was the Summit League's Sixth Man of the Year.
The Wildcats are coming off a 14-19 season with a 5-13 WAC record. Transfer Noah Bolanga headlined their roster, averaging nearly 12 points per game last season.
