The Oregon Ducks continue to be dealt crushing injury news in 2026. While the defense has been relatively healthy, a number of playmakers on offense have been sidelined with injuries, namely Dante Moore who isn't expected to return to the field this fall.
On Wednesday, head coach Dan Lanning delivered some more disappointing injury news, as both offensive lineman Dave Iuli and defensive lineman Matthew Johnson will have surgery and miss time. Though Lanning didn't give a specific injury or timetable, there are only five games remaining in the regular season for Oregon, putting their availability in question.
Iuli, after starting for the Ducks at guard in 2025, has had an uneven season this fall, rotating in and out of the lineup as the offensive line has struggled mightily at times. Iuli came into the season still recovering from a torn triceps that he suffered in the Orange Bowl against Texas Tech in the College Football Playoff, and has shown up on the injury report at times this season.
Meanwhile, Johnson was ruled out of Oregon's Week 8 game against the Illinois Fighting Illini with an undisclosed injury. A 6-foot-5, 319-pound sophomore who's been in a rotation along the defensive line, Johnson has eight total tackles and three solo tackles this season.
Lanning also shared some positive injury news, as five-star offensive lineman Immanuel Iheanacho is practicing again after suffering a recent injury. The Iheanacho news is exciting, as there's potential that the young talent could see the field in the final five games, but the Iuli and Johnson injuries are yet another blow that the Ducks will have to endure in 2026.
