Gwernyfed, COBRA and Tref-y-Clawdd all recorded cup victories, while Dolgellau and Ystradgynlais Youth bowed out after close contests.
Here are five notable individual contributions from the weekend.
Harry Lewis is included among the five following Ystradgynlais Youth’s 14-10 Welsh Cup defeat at Baglan Youth.
The young Blues battled a physically powerful Baglan side in difficult wet and windy conditions before the hosts’ two close-range tries proved decisive.
Leo Desousa-Davies provided the decisive contribution as Aberystwyth completed a stirring fightback to defeat Burry Port 17-15 in the WRU Championship West.
Aber had trailed 15-5 at half-time before Carwyn Evans’ converted try brought them back to within three points.
With only a few minutes remaining, Aberystwyth created an overlap and winger Desousa-Davies crossed for the winning try to complete the comeback.
Replacement scrum-half Aled Skyrme made an important contribution as Gwernyfed overcame Barry 30-20 in the second round of the WRU Division Two Cup.
With Gwernyfed trailing 20-16, Skyrme collected a long drop-out on halfway and went through the Barry defence to score under the posts, with Tyler Morris converting.
Skyrme was involved again later, following Rhys Price before collecting and releasing Tom Powell in the move which ended with Dylan Skyrme crossing for Gwernyfed’s fourth try.
Tyler Morris supplied 10 points from the boot during Gwernyfed’s 30-20 cup victory against Barry at Talgarth.
Morris landed two penalties, including one from out wide in difficult conditions shortly after half-time, as Gwernyfed stayed in touch during a closely contested game.
He then converted tries from Aled Skyrme and Dylan Skyrme as Gwernyfed scored twice in the final quarter to secure their passage into the next round.
Huw Layton accounted for nine points as Tref-y-Clawdd defeated Cardiff Athletic 19-7 in the second round of the WRU Division Five Cup.
Layton crossed for one of Tref-y-Clawdd’s three tries and added the conversion.
He also converted Owen Price’s try, while Joshua Deakins supplied Tref-y-Clawdd’s other score as they secured their place in the next round.
